1 Mile Swim departs in 2 waves beginning 9:45am
You are hereby invited to the newest edition of the WaylandOneMile Swim! This year we go back to our roots by hosting this event on Fathers' Day PLUS we are helping the town kick off its celebration of its 375th birthday, thanks to Wayland Parks and Recreation.
Basic Info:
Start times: 7:45am for the 3Mile (check-in 7:15-7:35)
9:45 for the first group of OneMilers (check-in 8:30-9:30)
Ages: ages 13+ are welcome.
Swimmers aged 10-13 MUST have a coach's written verification of his/her ability to complete this distance.

Fees: OneMile - prior to May 31/after= $50/$75
3Mile prior to May 31/after=$100/$125
Special to the 3Mile: each swimmer MUST have his/her own kayak escort. Please let us know if you need help locating a kayaker/kayak. 3Mile swimmers will have a slightly different registration form.
T-shirts: commemorative shirts will be available for pre-registered swimmers. Any leftovers will be given to same-day entrants.
Awards: first woman/man will receive awards on the spot. Age group awards will be mailed the next day.
Wetsuits: wetsuits will be allowed but will be a separate category for awards.
Time requirement: Due to time constraints, OneMile swimmers must reasonably expect to finish in under 50 minutes.
3Mile participants must reasonable expect to finish in <2 hrs.
3Milers will be accepted pending appropriate qualifications/experience.
